Memories are a powerful, eternal thing. My on-going project Collecting Memories was a way for me to step back from the trappings of modern tools, and explore the essence of my photography. No automation or help from digital tools, and every aspect of the final photograph determined by experience and instinct. This process allowed me to appreciate and bond with my work during 2020 at a much deeper level than before. Sometimes, it helps to slow down, if we want to break past our own limits.
