This intensive 5-day workshop will cover the following topics:
- Street Photography and the art of storytelling.
- Developing a theme and focusing on projects.
- Photography assignments designed to apply theoretical concepts while accompanying mentors on explorations of the streets of Varanasi.

Varanasi is the only place on Earth where Diwali is celebrated twice. Dev Deepawali (or Dev Diwali) is a festival celebrated 15 days after Diwali to commemorate the victory of Lord Shiva over the demon Tripurasur.
This annual festival, also known as ‘Dev Diwali’, is a celebration of light and joy that originated centuries ago. The 2024 edition of the festival is sure to be spectacular as it will be held in the ancient city of Varanasi.
As a photographer, Dev Deepawali offers a great opportunity to capture the beauty of India’s culture, tradition, and religious practices. The festival provides a unique and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for capturing through the lens of a camera. - If the workshop is canceled by Leica Akademie India, for any reason before 8th Nov 2024, a full refund will be issued to the participant.
- If a participant cancels for any reason before July 1, 2024, 50% of the workshop fee plus payment gateway charges will be deducted.
- If a participant cancels for any reason after July 2nd, No refund is applicable and the full fee will be deducted.
